Fermo "Bob" Paganessi, 74, died Monday, March 8, 2010 at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown. Born in Somerville, he resided in North Branch for 23 years before moving to Bridgewater 46 years ago.
Bob proudly served in the United States Army during Peacetime.
Mr. Paganessi worked as a Manager of Manufacturing for Devro, a division of Johnson & Johnson, for 29 years, until retiring in 1995. Bob was an avid gardener and enjoyed feeding the deer. He loved traveling, going to the Jersey Shore, and spending his winters in Florida. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 50 years, Marilyn Granskie Paganessi, his four cherished daughters, Janice Popadiuk and husband, Nicholas of Atlanta, GA, Dona Paganessi of Newport Beach, CA, Doris Hoffman and husband, Paul of San Clemente, CA and Jill Handel and husband, Raymond of Hillsborough, NJ; his eight grandchildren, Stephen, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Lauren, Rachel, Katelyn, Brandon and Bryce; his two beloved sisters, Joyce Sobon of Ft. Myers, FL and Sandra Gaynor and husband, Eli of Succasunna, NJ; his beloved brother, James Paganessi and wife, Valerie of Flemington, NJ and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin with a prayer at 9:15 AM on Friday, March 12, 2010 at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638 followed by a 10:00 AM Funeral Liturgy at St. Bernard R.C. Church, 500 Route 22 East, Bridgewater. Viewing hours will be Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
