Anita Lynn Rakow Russell, 50, died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at home, surrounded by her loving family, after a spirited two year battle with multiple myeloma.
Anita's warmth, compassion, and uplifting sense of humor was evident in everything she did and appreciated by everyone she touched. She was a beautiful and strong woman.
Anita was born in Beacon, NY and raised in East Brunswick before moving to Branchburg 24 years ago. She graduated from Douglass College with a Bachelors Degree in Economics.
Anita worked as a Financial Executive for 20 years with various companies, including Midlantic Bank, ADP and most recently with Weeks, Holderbaum, DeGraw & Nadkarni in Branchburg.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 29 years, Don Russell and her devoted daughter, Lauren; her parents, Marvin and Phyllis Laefer Rakow; brother, Gary Rakow and wife, Dawn of Jackson; nieces, Shannon and Ashley; nephew, Cody; sister, Michele Stevens and husband, Joe of Vernon; and best friend Michelle Haug of Oviedo, FL.
A celebration of Anita's life will be held in the future.
