Andrew Spencer Colditz, 18, died suddenly on Monday, December 26, 2005 as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Born in New Brunswick, he formerly resided in Hillsborough before moving to Branchburg 12 years ago.

Andrew was a 2005 graduate of Somerville High School. He was an avid swimmer who lettered in swimming while a student in high school. He was a bass player in the high school jazz band and the wind ensemble and was also a member of the marching band.

Andrew enjoyed various computer games with his friends and competed in Dallas, TX in C.P.L.(Cyberathletes Professional League).

He was enrolled as an engineering student at Rensselaer Polytechnical Institute, Troy, NY. He was a member of Chi-Phi Fraternity.

He loved to ski at Mt. Treblant in Quebec, ocean kayaking at Cape Cod and sky diving.

Surviving are his parents, his beloved mother Carolynn Colditz-Cooper and husband Jack of Branchburg, his beloved father Werner Colditz of Lincoln Park, a brother, Aaron Cooper, at home, his paternal grandparents, Gerhard and Ruth Colditz of Kingston, Ontario, his maternal grandparents, Ted and Jackie Spencer of Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, his aunt, Joanne Berwager and husband Randy of Hanover, PA, and a cousin, Kimberly Geigerich of Deltsville, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Andrew’s memory to the Friendship School, Inc., 6220 Georgetown Blvd, Suite 102, Eldersburg, MD, 21784.
